I love your opinion on this Michaela - there is not enough written, displayed and role modelled for the Wise Women in all her depth, wisdom and beauty

An "ad" for this show popped up in my feed. Just one look at the "Golden One" gave me the shivers--and not in a good way. I can only imagine the women chosen to compete on the show, with everything they had "done" to belie the depth of their life experience, boiling it all down into "3 fun facts." Yikes! It will be a miracle if anything comes of this show which sanitizes age-earned wisdom, and shovels it down our throats like so much pablum.

Oh Michaela, this is really something. Such a potent exploration of a question bigger than just this show. You had me in tears at certain parts. I loved Grace and Frankie and although there was some cover up in that too, the essence of it was a distinct change of direction. As a 52 year old, I too wish for a wise woman revolution and like you am committed to writing about it. Fingers crossed for the 'fairy tale' ending you so eloquently pen at the end of your piece. Thank you for sharing.

Although you now have me about to go search for the trailer myself. Too curious :-)
